Job Summary - Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the North East Regional Sales Manager, this position will provide sales and technical support accross a wide variety of industries including; plant assembly, packaging machinery design, industrial automation, machine tools and robotics, semiconductor, medical and pharmaceutical plus other capital equipment such as construction and specialty vehicles, aircraft, and passenger trains. The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans based on Regional Manager directives.
  • Utilize product expertise / application knowledge to provide techncial customer support.
  • Collaborate with Timken sales team to generate new leads and cross sell into common markets.Actively gathers customer and market knowledge into monthly reports.
  • Manage high tech and industrial distribution partnership business accross Ontario and Manitoba.
  • Increase market share through the development of new OEM and end user customer base.
  • Sales analysis reporting of results and forecasts.
  • Customer data management through CRM system.
  • Coordinate, manage, and evaluate the organization's appearance at trade shows and events.

Note that this position requires 50%to 60% overnight travel.


  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in the industrial motion control or robotics industry,
  • Technical Degree (BS or Engineering) or equivalent experience,
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required,
  • Proficiency in Industrial Control Systems, Robotics and Motion Control necessary,
  • Capability to drive four hours continuously,
  • Reside in Ontario.
