Ocean Air Customer Service Representative with Data Entry  - Houston, TX - AFRICA 2000 INC

Job Description:

Africa 2000, Inc., is a profitable and stable freight forwarding company located at the Bush International airport. We are looking for 3 candidates to fulfill our open positions for Ocean Air Customer Service Representatives. A minimum of one year experience is required.

We offer a competitive salary with bonus, medical, dental, vision and vacation time.

This position requires a candidate that has excellent typing skills, and attention to detail. Must have good multi-tasking skills and be able to follow up on shipments from beginning until the file is closed. Candidate must also have good verbal communication skills to speak with customers.

Responsibilities, Experience and Skills include, but are not limited to:

  • Data entry of Warehouse Receipts, Customer Profiles, Pickup Orders, and Billing into our logistics system (Magaya).
  • Communicate proficiently and professionally with clients (phone and email)
  • Prepare AES/SED, US Customs documentation, Master BL.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in industry.
  • Skills: Must have proficient typing and data entry skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Must be able to arrive at work on time.
  • Quoting air and ocean freight, open bookings with the Steamship Lines and Airlines, processing SED, and US Customs LOIs.
  • Familiar with Magaya Software
