Purpose / Responsibilities:

To verify product conformity to internal and external customer requirements. Support manufacturing through in-process inspection requirements. Support other inspection areas and related work as required.     

  1. Review and interpret drawings, process sheets /routings, operating instructions, and specifications.
  2. Maintain accurate and complete daily inspection records.
  3. Maintain work areas and equipment in neat and orderly manner.
  4. Perform inspection utilizing various gages and measuring instruments following established plans to determine conformance to specifications.
  5. Process associated documents as required and specified.
  6. Perform all tasks as assigned accurately with attention to detail per drawings, specifications, or other operational instructions. 
  7. This individual may generate and/or handle regulated (i.e. hazardous/non-hazardous) waste as part of this job. This must be disposed of in accordance with federal/state regulations.   

Technical / Functional Skills:

  • Basic math & computer skills     
  • Documentation/Data Sheets     
  • Visual and Functional Inspection of one: Manufactured Components, Received Product
  • Basic understanding of GD&T Prints 
  • Understand and utilize shop language, help chain and programs     
  • Fluent understanding of shop decimal system    
  • Utilization of SAP as required

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
