Have you been looking for an opportunity to be part a solid and lean logistics operations team? Do you like working with wineries and solving problems for customers?

Then we might be looking for you. We are looking for an Ocean Freight Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Pasadena, Texas reporting to the Manager of Operations. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service by effectively scheduling and delivering value-added transportation, warehousing and distribution services in a team setting.

What will you do?
Ocean Freight Logistics Coordinators work within a team setting to deliver excellent customer service by creating and managing international shipping orders. They are responsible for managing freight document flow thru all systems to ensure timely shipment and delivery. They verify and process vendor invoices and customer billings in a timely manner. They are responsible for maintaining and ensuring customer profiles are accurate and up to date. Planners are accountable for appropriate planning to succeed in own role, through continuous development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Complete the input, maintenance, and research of data in one or more of the following logistics management systems: FLOW, QRS, AXIS, QLIK
  • Communicate daily with suppliers, customers and/or vendors to make confirmations, status updates, service changes, or to report and resolve variances.
  • Prepare, audit, deliver and receive documentation pertaining to one or more of the following areas: Exports, Distribution, Transportation, International Freight Forwarding.
  • Any other duties as required.

What do we expect from you?
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • One year of experience in logistics/supply chain field preferred
  • Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Explorer is required
  • The candidate must have good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while providing excellent customer service
  • Experience with transportation management software is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Logistics or related field is highly desirable
