Clerk - Inventory (Logistics) - Grand Prairie, TX - Penske

Position Summary:
Responsible for the daily/weekly maintaining of pallet tracking (where applicable), Inventory clerk will be responsible for managing facilities inventory records and reports including daily outage report, weekly expiration report, tri-weekly risk report, return/repack/damage log(s), trailer check-in trackers, daily cycle counts, daily reserved shelf life report, weekly capacity report. In addition the inventory clerk will have responsibilities to inbound and load planning including scheduling inbound appointments, following up with customer planners and third party carriers/brokers for inbound resolutions. All inventory and receipt paperwork will be audited and filed by the inventory clerk. The inventory clerk does have a role in Product Recall/MRB Product Hold/Quarantine Product activities and logs. Cycle counting dairy product daily and other tasks issues by Inventory supervisor.

This is a mid-shift position. Days are Tuesday - Saturday. Hours are 10am - 6:30pm.

Major Responsibilities:
Job responsibilities may include:
-Various office and administrative duties, which may include handling accounts payable/receivable and collections, payroll, fuel reconciliation, office supplies, billing, maintaining database and miscellaneous reporting
-Audit of logs and trip reports and other DOT reporting, maintain of files, customer service interaction, resolution of driver equipment requests and pallet tracking. Maintenance and distribution of route books, daily interface with drivers, assist with driver coverage of vacation and overflow freight
-Involve Safety team as required by location
-Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements
-Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential
-Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor -2 years of general office experience required
-1 year of customer service experience required
-High School diploma or equivalent required
-1-2 years in inventory control for food distribution experience.
-1-2 years of clerical/admin experience.
-1-2 years of inbound/load planning experience preferred.
-Experience with cold chain.
-MUST have STRONG Microsoft Excel 2016 abilities, including reading/writing excel formulas, ability to learn and adapt to new excel formulas and tools. As well as clean and concise excel reporting abilities.
-Professional email edict, proper grammar, email experience Microsoft Outlook 2016.
-Basic computer navigation skills. (Browsing Web, understanding default applications and settings)
-Ability to read and write legibly.
-Accurately match numbers, letters and dates.
-Accurately add, subtract, divide, multiply
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
