Job Description

LOGISTICS PROJECT MANAGER

The Logistics Project Manager will serve as the application support specialist and business analyst. This person will oversee warehouse management software with multiple client interfaces running at over 20 locations throughout North America for a global logistics provider. This person must support internal users, software developers, all levels of management, as well as clients and business partners, to deliver timely, efficient and reliable solutions to business challenges.

3PL System Support
  • Provide user training on Agility's warehousing and carrier management systems.
  • Provide first line support for Agility's warehousing and carrier management systems.
  • Devise elegant solutions for 3PL operational challenges by applying expertize in Agility's systems.
  • Define and campaign for modifications to Agility's systems where a solution cannot be found.
  • Work with counterparts around the globe to agree the scope and priority of all modifications.
  • Perform integration testing of all global WMS modifications.
EDI System Support
  • Describe and promote our EDI capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Define the scope of electronic interfaces (message set, message format, transport mechanism, latency requirements, processing constraints, etc.).
  • Write mapping requirement specifications for Agility's EDI developers.
  • Perform detailed integration testing.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing.
  • Take the lead for ongoing improvement and evolution of electronic interfaces with our clients.
System Integration Support
  • Define the requirements for integration with other business applications such as carrier management systems.
  • Write process and mapping specifications for Agility's integration layer developers.
  • Perform detailed integration testing.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing.
Project Management
  • Confront operational challenges and take ownership in addressing them.
  • Formulate thorough and practical plans to achieve solutions.
  • Proactively adjust for delays and setbacks.
  • Motivate and build working relationships with participants.
  • Be a conduit for information.

Job Requirements
  • Advanced Knowledge and experienced with management software, programs, applications and Pivot tables
  • 4 year Degree in computers/technology - preferred
  • 7+ years of experience with management software systems
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and organization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to facilitate clear and concise communication with a high level of professionalism
  • Strong ethical values
  • Strong knowledge as it relates to legal compliance in areas of responsibilities
  • Ability to work with diverse teams, back grounds and work styles
  • Ability to work in a team environment and support business decisions
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
  • Experience in the administration and implementation of management systems and programs
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure

LANGUAGE SKILLS

English is the principal language for this position. This position requires good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally in a diverse multicultural environment.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Strong Excel skills: Build spreadsheets with the skill set to create Pivot tables are a necessary requirement, PowerPoint, the ability to create tool guides as a resource is a plus. HRIS systems required and a basic knowledge of ADP Enterprise (Ev5), ADP E-Time, and/or other payroll systems a plus.

WORK HOURS AND ENVIRONMENT

Normal working hours for this position are Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, as a non-exempt position extended hours may be required based on the needs of the business.
