Sales Coordinator - Vancouver, BC - Agility Logistics

Job Description

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting the management of transactional customer business. Responsibilities include; managing quotation requests to the branch, communicating pricing levels to customer service and field sales colleagues in alignment with the National Pricing Center and Branch leadership. The management of transactional customer quote requests include the production of quotes according to the customer requirements with Agility's FOCiS Quotation Module, follow-up of said quotations to secure the business or to evaluate the reasons for non-award. This role will build and retain local market business intelligence on the customers, industries, modes, and tradelane successes and review areas from non-awards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate pricing and other ad-hoc rating to drive branch revenue growth
  • Establish and monitor customer service performance standards / KPI's
  • Identify customer challenges and resolve them expeditiously and efficiently
  • Coordinate customer issue escalations and participate in corrective action plan(s)
  • Manage data quality of quotations, customer information, customer onboarding details as directed.
  • Ensure correct and current customer details are captured in CRM or customer communication systems
  • Follow up on branch quotations and take required follow up actions. Understand and communicate reasons for loss or award.
  • Support and assist customers in understanding product offerings, technologies, or other initiatives as directed.
  • Support NPC with rate level market intelligence from lost opportunities.
  • Engage internal teams/resources such as; operations/quality/ implementation/client service teams etc. as required
  • All other commercial duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2+ years of working experience in the freight forwarding and/or transportation industry
  • Proven working experience of various international transportation products.
  • 2+ years sales experience in the freight forwarding/logistics industry required
  • Good business acumen and commercial skills.

  • Excellent analytical and data management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills-persuasive, empathetic, and able to handle conflict and pressure
  • Effective listener and communicator who shows empathy for the client's needs while continuing to fulfill the standard obligations of Agility
  • Must be able to work with little direction and is conscientious of deadlines
