Job Summary: Highly visible role with full top down support. Direct the Global Export-Import Compliance program for both defense and commercial industry products.
Location: San Diego, California
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Direct and manage a Global Export-Import Trade Compliance Program
• In depth knowledge of export/import laws, regulations, policies and procedures including but not limited to: Export Licensing (DoS, TAA's CDL's), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and overall Customs Regulations
• Manage processes to ensure export transaction screening (i.e. Denied Persons List, Specially Designated Nationals List, Department of State Debarred Parties List and the Department of Commerce Entity List as well as any other relevant lists)
• Ensure proper jurisdiction determination and classification of diverse range of products, equipment, software and technology
• Provide trade compliance training to company employees and associates
• Develop and update company trade compliance manual
• Manage HTS and ECCN classifications
• Conduct internal trade compliance audits
Job Requirements:
• Extensive experience with managing an import/export compliance program
• Bachelor's degree required
• Licensed Customs Broker –not mandatory
• Ability to travel as needed
• Experience in both commercial and defense industry products
• Strong hands on and strategic management skills a must!
