Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker, with locations in 22 countries and 2500 employees strong is seeking a Sales - Account Executive for the Chicago, Illinois area. This position offers an exceptional opportunity.


Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:
    • Develop new business as well as the retention of existing customer base
    • Prepare quotations, professional proposals and presentations for clients covering a full suite of logistics services
    • Support as required any RFI/RFQ/RFP requirements understanding and articulating key decision drivers
    • Identify business opportunities that generate revenue growth in both new and existing accounts
    • Assist in the development and implementation of sales plans that support increased sales across multiple vertical markets throughout the Region
    • Build strategic relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to create opportunities
    • Capitalize on value creation opportunities by working closely with the sales and operations management team to develop creative workable solutions to meet customer needs
    • Cross-sell the company's full suite of products and services in a global team environment
    • Monitor and review customer sales activity and make strategic adjustments where required
    • Facilitate regular meetings with clients and relevant operations staff to evaluate performance, obtaining updates from clients on challenges and future plans
    • Oversee the development and reporting of competitive market analysis across the Region
    • Prepare, lead or contribute in all QBR's for customer's across the Region
    • Attend and network within industry groups, trade shows and other similar events in an effective manner across the Region
    • Complete assigned administrative functions in a timely manner, including maintain client data within Salesforce
    • Knowledge of industries such as Oil & Gas , Chemicals, Consumer Goods/Retail, Industrial Goods, Automotive, Projects, Pharma/Bio-Med is a plus
    • Maintain a high level of expertise and knowledge of all products and services

Job Requirements:
    • Must have sales experience in the Freight Forwarding industry with a proven track record
    • Knowledge of the airfreight products is essential
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years Sales experience and 5 years overall international logistics industry experience
    • Must have knowledge of Import and Export operations
    • Must exemplify leadership qualities
    • Must possess strong organizational & time management skills
    • Must have the ability to prioritize multiple projects and work in a fast pace environment
    • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Must possess the ability to make formal presentations on a professional level to key executives and groups of industry experts
    • Must possess strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Salesforce
    • Must have an Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; and/or minimum five (5)years experience in Freight Forwarding Sales or the equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Must have a valid driver license, a dependable automobile and acceptable motor vehicle record
