- We are a 3PL Broker. We have been in business going on 17 years. We manage all stages of our clients shipments. We also have a courier/hot shot division with our own trucks.

TMI Sales is a 3rd Party Transportation and Logistics service provider, with a courier/hotshot division. Our business is to provide our clients with transportation solutions for all modes of shipping worldwide. We are responsible for sourcing carriers, rate negotiation, shipping configurations, and problem-solving for our customer shipping needs. We are looking for talented individuals with experience in the freight brokerage industry that possess the same work ethic.

Job Description:
  • TMI Sales offers a diverse menu of services and we are seeking an individual that has extensive knowledge in Freight Brokerage, 3PL service options, and Supply Chain.
  • Individual should be versed in multi-modes of transportation, LTL, Intermodal, Truckload, Flatbed, Airfreight, and consolidation.
  • Ideal candidate will be able to discuss all modes of transportation with potential customers and be able to identify opportunities within their supply chain.
  • We are seeking an individual that is hands-on in the process and able to work as a team with operations.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication.
  • Must have problem-solving skills and committed to finding solutions to client's needs.

This position requires individual to be responsible for:
Managing the company's sales which includes, managing cold calling team, follow up to cold call leads, sourcing sales leads, implementing sales tools, creating sales literature, developing sales proposals, and managing the onboarding process for new clients. We are looking for an individual with strong presentation skills and must have experience developing presentation materials with PowerPoint and other sales tools.

The ideal candidate must have:
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be confident in addressing and resolving issues that may arise with clients, carriers, and staff.
  • Candidate must have strong math skills.
  • Candidates with previous experience working for an LTL carrier, third-party transportation broker with sales experience will be strongly considered.
  • Candidate must be well versed with Microsoft Office including Excel (must be able to create Pivot Table, Spreadsheets and
    Charts)

Job Responsibilities

Sales /Solutions and Business Development

  • Source New Customers
  • Manage cold calling staff and follow up to all leads
  • Source New Customers
  • Manage new client onboarding process
  • Manage In-person Meetings with Existing and New Customers.
  • Develop Sales and Presentation materials
  • Prepare, submit and negotiate customer proposals.
  • Assist with sourcing carrier rates for RFP's.
  • Prepare and present monthly analysis reports of customer activity to customers
  • Calculate shipping specifications, sizes, equipment needs, or configuration of shipments on pallets or in shipping containers.
  • Provide back-up assistance to operations staff when business warrants

This position may require after-hours attention to special orders. This is a work from home position. We are looking for an individual to manage and develop our sales and business development department. We are a small company, looking for an individual with experience and drive, must be able to wear multiple hats.
