SMX Staff Management in partnership with nVent/Hoffman of Anoka, MN is in search of a 2nd shift Leader in Training for their metal fabrication and production area. This position will Provide backup and assistance to the Production Supervisor; be a point of contact for production employees as needed Assist with day-to-day production activities within the value stream(s) to ensure production goals are achieved.
Duties: Track daily performance through the use of process center communication boards on a daily basis Support the production process by filling in positions on the line when necessary to maintain the flow of work when absences occur (Vacation, PTO, Restroom breaks, etc.). Knowledge of Lean principles in order to lead and participate in Kaizen events Be a change agent and drive out waste throughout department through the deployment of the Lean methodology Enforce company and department policy Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements. Coordinate the timely and accurate movement of material into, within and out of assigned work area as needed.

Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required, product knowledge a plus Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them.
