The function of the production scheduler is to utilize available capacity and inventory to effectively meet production requirements. The production scheduler consults with the manufacturing departments regarding projects in production. Also modifies schedules to satisfy demand changes and inventory discrepancies. Cooperate with other departments to achieve efficient results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Schedule and coordinate flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production.
Review production schedules and work orders to establish priorities and kits for specific customer orders.
Revise schedules according to work order specification utilizing available capacity and inventory.
Prepare weekly/monthly reports.
Review and adjust inventory balances.
Adjust and improve record keeping errors on material movement.
Evaluate lead times and lead time offsets, safety stock and apply where needed.
Assist with the development and implementation of goals and plans of action consistent with company objectives.
