The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for consultancy & technical support to inside back office colleagues, Field Service Engineers (FST's), and customers concerning products, product groups and ranges within United States
Provide customers, importers and branches with technical support;
Act as 2nd level support to technical organization
Defining product assembly's for the benefit of quotes or orders according to internal procedures
Preparing, implementing and documenting test settings, including advice to sales department and customers.
Field service and diagnosis
Maintaining contacts with customers, importers and branches
Contribute and suggest continuous product improvement or cost savings
Setting up and providing technical training to new engineers and customers
Supervising and approving technical documentation
Manage and record product specifications (both internal and external) of the product range
Initiating product improvements
Monitoring quality and complaints
Advising Sales regarding application of products in different market segments
Technical and Functional Skills:
Software knowledge and experience with MS Office suite
Practical technical insight and experience
Accurate and solution-oriented
Knowledge of the various markets and products applications with a strong background in industrial applications.
Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
Knowledge and/or affinity with ERP systems
Bachelors Degree with 5 years experience.
