The primary function of this position is to supervise the plant operations. The Supervisor will serve as a crucial link between hourly associates and management. In this role, the supervisor will provide the resources and direction necessary for the associate to properly perform his or her job. The Supervisor will be held accountable for all applicable Key Process Indicators (KPIs). KPIs are prioritized and adjusted as necessary based on business conditions
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee the production, manning, and day-to-day manufacturing operations in a cost-effective manner
Responsible for meeting production goals
Responsible for ensuring a safe and clean work area and the safety of the associates
Adhere to the company's Quality and Environmental policies
Facilitate communication amongst hourly and salary associates
Manages continuous improvement with respect to 5S and other initiatives
Responsible for making sure all hourly associates are effectively trained on work instructions, machinery, equipment, processes and required paperwork has been completed.
Manage non-exempt hourly associates' performance
Hold associates accountable for following procedures and policy
Foster a positive and respectful environment and resolve conflicts amongst associates
Evaluate associate performance and coach/counsel as needed

Required Skills & Experience
Three or more years' experience in a similar or related supervisory role
Able to handle multiple competing tasks and priorities, and perform quality work efficiently with minimal supervision
Experience in scheduling employees in a production environment.
Able to work required hours which may include weekends and holidays
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions: Standing, walking, bending, climbing, and stretching are required for extended periods during the day.
Manual dexterity to handle tools and the ability to move 30 pounds.
Vision must be sufficient to perform job functions safely.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Mechanical aptitude or maintenance experience is preferred
Undergraduate degree in Business Management
Previous experience with an automotive supplier preferred, but not required.
