Duties:
The Machine Operator is responsible for effectively performing all the required duties of the position in an accurate, thorough, and safe manner. Employees are responsible for producing a safe and quality food product per USDA guidelines and are required to report all food safety related problems to their Supervisor/Manager and/or to the Quality Assurance department to initiate immediate action.
Successful candidates perform the following tasks:
- Ability to work in a high speed work environment and at temperatures between 36 - 38 degrees.
- Coordinate production operations of a line consisting of 4-10 people.
- Basic math skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Assure quality of packaged product by completing daily recordkeeping and production audits.
- Maintain machine by completing adjustments, maintenance, and calibration during set-up, operation and after changeover.
- Coordinate training of line personnel on line operation and safety requirements.
- Responsible for product quality and food safety. Reports all food safety issues to QA manager.
- Performing other duties as assigned and needed

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated to range between $19.00 - $20.50 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive skills and experience.
