Lovejoy, a company in the Timken family of brands, is hiring a Receiving Clerk.
The Receiving Clerk performs receiving tasks, including receiving and unloading items, verifying shipment condition, counting goods received, identifying products and applying proper EHS labels if required, proper labeling if incoming product from vendors, processing RGA's and keeping computer records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Receives and unloads vendor shipments
Reviews shipping information and confirms shipments are correct, including contents and quantities
Inspects shipments for damage or defects
Operates forklifts, carts, and other equipment
Communicates with drivers, vendors, and purchasing staff
Applies EHS required chemical labels
Processes RGA receipts and moves them on to the quality department.
Documents, Reworks and relabels customer annual returns and returns to stock
Communicates with other department when key shipments have arrived
Maintains computer records of received items.
Maintain an orderly dock area
Maintain a good working relationship with the carriers and their drivers.
Assist the Quality department with receiving inspection.
Put raw material in stocking locations. (Example: steel bar and forgings)
Picks and packs when the receiving work is complete or as needed by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Ability to read and write English and use basic math is required
Good verbal communication skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Experience with receiving is preferred
Experienced forklift truck operator must obtain Lovejoy license in 15 days
Experience with an ERP system. SAP is preferred.
