Customer Service & Logistics
Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) is where you'll integrate our end-to-end demand-driven supply chain. Working from farm to shelf, you'll connect plants with customers to deliver best-in-class service in the most efficient way. Your goal will be to have the right products, at the right time, and with the right quantity and quality on the shelf.


The Distribution Operations Manager is responsible for leading Canada Distribution Operations and serves as a single point of contact for key stakeholders on all distribution activities for 3PL/Mondelēz International managed locations within the Canadian geography. This position is a key supporter of Initiatives coming out of CS&L Log Ops and coordinate activities across all areas. The Canada Distribution Operation Manager works across the Log Ops organization to ensure linkages are in place between Distribution, Transportation, Systems, and infrastructure with consideration of product supply, finance, customer development, and 3-party service providers. The Distribution Operations Manager provides total leadership and P&L responsibilities for the Canadian Warehouse Operations. The Distribution Operations Manager will have direct labour budget accountability of over $10MM, an additional $25MM in operating supplies and expenses, total accountability of over $35MM in budget costs across the two Canadian Distribution Centres (Hamilton DC and Brampton DC). The Brampton DC is a 638,000 Sq.ft facility with a capacity of 74,000 pallets and the Hamilton DC is a 415,000 Sq.ft facility with a capacity of 45,000 pallets. The Distribution Operations Manager is responsible for managing the cost efficient operation of the facilities, while ensuring accurate and on-time shipping of orders. The Distribution Operations Manager must ensure all safety and security programs are implemented and adhered to for the protection of the workers and of the inventory. The Distribution Operations Manager will be responsible for achieving all KPIs, (1) safety targets, (2) 3% productivity target, (3) reduce costs, and (4) develop talent. This role will be based in the Brampton DC and will report to the East Area Director, NA Region. The Distribution Operations Manager will have direct oversight of the below listed Canadian roles including Site Logistics Planners (3), Ops Manager Hamilton DC, Inventory/Quality Team Lead, Asst Manager SSE, Logistics Coordinator.

The Brampton DC is a 3PL site, serving as the Everyday Customer facing site for the Canadian business unit. The 3PL manages day to day operations at the Brampton DC site. The Hamilton DC is a Mondelēz operated and managed warehouse which serves as the primary facing of all season business for Canada; primary buffer for Brampton DC; single source for POS materials; raw and pack storage DC for Gladstone Plant and overflow buffer for US products manufactured in Canada. 


Essential functions of the position:

1. Drive continuous improvement in processes and designs including creating/managing/dictating best practices across Canada network in distribution operations environment.
2. Support Country Revenue Delivery by working with Customer Service, Product Supply and Transportation teams
3. Provide leadership and project support in order to optimize the lowest landed cost process for products and/or categories
4. Provide direction to 3PL Provider & internal warehouse operations to deliver results in Safety, Service & Cost
5. Collaborate with In-DC repacking to deliver Safety Service & Cost.Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing all Mondelēz Safety programs, policies and training.
6. Ensure on time shipping of customer orders and stock transfer orders.
7. Engage the 3PL provider to share business priorities and ensure all KPIs are achieved or exceeded on safety, service and cost.
8. Deliver cost savings and productivity targets.
9. Identify supply chain opportunities and ensure issues are addressed in strategic and tactical plans and by implementing continuous improvement projects.
10. Develop and coach direct reports and warehouse teams to achieve goals and objectives. Provide coaching in order to create and execute development plans and support career goals.
11. Ensure proper maintenance of the building, i.e. Safety, Security and Quality, while achieving budget costs requirements

7. Assistant SSE Manager - interacts weekly, or as needed, to ensure safety metrics and programs are implemented.
8. DC employees - interacts regularly to promote engagement, solicit feedback, and follow up on concerns and performance.
9. Third Party Contractors - interacts daily or as needed with 3rd party contractors to ensure compliance with all SSE regulatory concerns and local DC orientation programs.
10. Human Resources Manager - interacts weekly, or as needed, for resolution of HR matters.
11. Union Plant Chair - interacts as needed, to address any concerns. 
12. Regulatory (CFIA; MOL etc.)

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
1. Bachelor's Degree
2. Supply-chain related experience (logistics, transportation, distribution, warehouse, sales) - minimum 5 years
3. Front-line leadership experience, preferably including represented labor - minimum 5 years
