As the Delinquent Account Specialist, you will research and resolve past due accounts receivable and oversee the internal bankruptcy process. You will also act as the single point of contact for third-party collection agencies regarding the reconciliation of placements, commission payment requests, settlement requests, and reporting. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Resolve escalated accounts that have been/will be placed for third-party collections
  • Audit all applicable documentation to ensure proper rates and matching
  • Maintain daily communication with customers and service centers
  • Manage Returned Item process and communication
  • Prepare all applicable internal/external documentation related to bankruptcy
  • Communicate with external bankruptcy legal counsel
  • Identify potential for process improvement

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Associate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of business-to-business experience
  • Understanding of bankruptcy laws, processes and documentation
  • Knowledge of PACER
  • Demonstrated ability to create complex formulas in MS Excel

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Paralegal experience
  • 1 year of logistics or transportation experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft BI, GetPaid, Oracle and Mainframe
  • Dispute resolution, problem-solving and negotiation skills
