Overview Qualified candidates must have International Freight Forwarding experience within the Automotive Industry.

The Director of Business Development for the Automotive Vertical partners with Global and Regional Leadership to formulate and implement business development strategy focused on driving revenue and ensuring profitable growth. This role gathers insights and collaborates across all functions including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Procurement etc..

Responsibilities
  • Acts as the Regional facing industry expert
  • Manages the development of new key automotive relationships to drive revenue
  • Ensures Regional automotive strategies are aligned with Global strategies
  • Identifies business opportunities through analyses of trends and acts accordingly with Stakeholders
  • In additional to being a subject Manager Expert, plays a key role of Individual Contributor to the vertical
  • Develops, reviews, updates and implements strategic planning of Automotive Vertical
  • Supports other Sales Teams with Key Automotive Account activity
  • Ensure Accounts are successfully on-boarded
  • Attends Key Quality Business Reviews


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years' of related experience in the Logistics Industry with emphasis on the Automotive vertical within International Freight Forwarding. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Ability to establish short and long term goals and objectives as well as a plan to achieve them.
  • Marketing and service systems development and deployment
  • Possesses ability to express ideas and information effectively, both written and oral. Seeks out and listens to others' ideas and suggestions.
  • Demonstrates self-confidence when presenting to a group or potential customer.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
