Pilot Freight Services seeks a full-time Warehouse Supervisor to work for a Logistics customer at our location in Jupiter, FL for the 8 am - 5 pm shift. Under the direction of the District Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing, returns, shipping and inventory control of product in a manner consistent with company quality, service and cost objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist District Manager in developing SOP's to improve warehouse functions;
  • Working on-site at customer location interactions with multiple departments
  • Experience with UPS Worldship and FedEx as well as LTL Freight carriers
  • Able to get Hazmat certified
  • Supervise and coordinate the unloading of inbound shipments, the orderly racking and storage of product, and the picking/selecting, staging and loading of outbound shipments to ensure the highest possible levels of productivity;
  • Oversee the handling or returned/damaged goods ensuring the appropriate response to customer' and shippers' questions and complaints;
  • Monitor the maintenance and administrative activities in the warehouse to ensure customer requirements are met in an efficient and appropriate manner;
  • Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment, as well as the maintenance of a clean, neat and orderly work area;
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers;
  • Supervise warehouse personnel/team with schedules, training and job duties;
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications:
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, up to 120 lbs with assistance;
  • Must have 3 years plus forklift experience stand up and sit-down;
  • Must be able to use customer MRP system SAP
  • 5 years' warehouse experience preferred;
  • Management and supervisory skills and experience preferred;
  • Familiarity with materials handling equipment is essential;
  • Intermediate computer skills required, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
  • Must be able to read English, count accurately, do simple math, write English legibly and compose and type a professional email;
  • Able to prioritize, multi-task and give clear and concise directions to subordinates and other warehouse personnel;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required;
  • Lead by example, must be a self-starter with the ability to lead team with minimal oversight.
  • Supervisor is on-call and will be paid if needed to come in after hours or weekends.

    Position is very hands on requiring candidate to use stand up forklift .
  • Loading and unloading of trucks and other warehouse related tasks when needed.

    We prefer someone with SAP experience which is the customer MRP system.

    We serve 1 client which operates in Gas Turbine / Energy Power Plant and Aerospace.

    Their customers operate worldwide with a lot of international shipping required.
