Purpose and Scope
This position supports roller grind projects - process improvement, process development, manufacturing cost reduction, and addition of new equipment. The Analyst provides leadership and technical direction to maintenance, contractors, and manufacturing associates.
Responsibilities
Utilize engineering principles and techniques to design, specify, document, and implement specialized process equipment, components, tooling, etc. Work as a member of and lead teams to implement continuous improvement ideas, and large scale projects. Manage projects, or portions of projects, such as changes to equipment layouts, process improvements, process development, and new product launches; insuring projects are completed on-time and within budget. Support Maintenance and Production areas with technical expertise to correct daily problems affecting production.
Requirements:
Technical/Functional Skills
Demonstrated ability to work in 2D and 3D CAD drawing/modeling packages
Mechanical Intuition / Problem Solving Skills
Good Technical Writing and Communication Skills
Project Management Skills
MS Office
Expertise in roller grinding processes required
Manufacturing experience preferred
Education
BSME/BSMET and 5 years grind experience or Associates and 10 years grind experience
