Rollon by Timken is growing and we need an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Norton Shores, Michigan. The Fabricator/Welder will use specialized equipment to fabricate custom machinery for the automation industry. Selected interview applicants will need to bring weld helmet, PPE, and gloves to their interview for a weld test.
Primary Job Functions:
- Read prints, stage, setup, and fabricate weldments
- Majority of work is fabrication to print - almost no fixture work
- Follow and complete established quality control processes and procedures
- Document work (sign off on completed parts/prints)
- Weld a wide range of parts: 1/4" sheet metal up to 3" think plate as well as very large, structural steel tubes and beams - occasionally stainless steel
- Assist in maintaining equipment (Lincoln and Miller welders; Hydmech saw)
- Occasional offsite customer support and installation related travel
Required skills and experience:
- Applicant must be able to walk, stand, climb, lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds, see, hear and use both hands and arms to handle, feel or reach/grasp items
- High School Graduate or Equivalant
- Legally authorized to work in the US, no sponsorship available for this position
Hours are Mon-Fri, 7:00am - 3:00 pm
