Purpose and Scope
This position exists to support the Bucyrus Plant in all areas of the supply chain function. The primary focus is achieving on time delivery to customer promise. Associates in this role could be responsible for managing operative supply chain support associates to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and costs objectives.
Responsibilities
Primary results will vary depending on the particular assignment, but could include:
1) Working with suppliers and corporate purchasing to ensure that direct materials are delivered when required to achieve schedule attainment and minimize past due.
2) Partnering with global supply chain and corporate purchasing to develop direct and indirect material supply chains that minimize inventory while maintaining OTD to customer promise.
3) Maintaining an accurate inventory position at the plant and conducting an annual physical inventory that meets corporate requirements.
4) Manage the shipping and/or receiving functions to ensure that all transactions are timely and that all regulatory requirements are met.
5) Provide timely responses to customer service inquires and track/monitor customer service performance as required. Work with corporate purchasing to develop direct material CIP programs and execute these plans to achieve annual cost saving targets.
6) Responsible for managing/leading various projects assigned such inventory reduction, implementing new Supply Chain processes, and improving supplier performance.
7) Supports direct ship and other supply chain analysts.
8) Supervises Supply Chain LMA.
Technical/Functional Skills
- Experience with SAP, Access. and/or Excel
- Lean manufacturing environment
- Strong initiative and drive to satisfy customer
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Education
Minimum
- ASSOCIATE of Business Degree or Related Field
Preferred
- BACHELOR of Business or Related Field
Previous Job Experiences
- Supply Chain Experience-Minimum of 3 years-Preferred 5 years
