Wazee Crane, a division of Timken Power Systems, is currently seeking a Crane Field Service Technician for the Broomfield, Colorado location. The role of the Crane Field Service Technician is to troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and perform scheduled maintenance on overhead cranes and hoists. The Technician regularly works on-site at customer locations often as part of a two-person team and is required to drive to different locations, including overnight travel. This position reports into the Crane Field Service Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and inspect overhead bridge cranes and hoists
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on equipment
- Evaluate functionality, identify solutions, and make recommendations regarding required repairs, methods, techniques, and/or equipment
- Build and maintain customer confidence by providing good response time, informing customer of problems and solutions, and completing the job in a timely manner
- Support customer by effectively interfacing with customer and internal staff on repair and safety related issues
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists accurately, timely, and neatly
- Observe all safety procedures and use personal protective gear
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- 2+ years of work experience with similar types of equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Minimum age 21 years old
- Good driving record and valid driver's license required
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Basic electrical and troubleshooting skills (controls and wiring); advanced skills preferred
- NEC/CMAA/OSHA/ASME knowledge preferred
- Journeyman or Master electrician license preferred
- Able to meet DOT requirements for driver qualifications, safety compliance, material regulations, inspections, and fleet maintenance
- Must be medically qualified through a DOT examination initially and at least once every 24 months by providing valid and up-to-date certification
- Willing and able to travel overnight throughout the state and out-of-town as required
- Able to successfully complete background check and drug and alcohol screening(s)
- Willing and able to work indoors/outdoors in extreme heat/cold and at heights for extended periods of time
- Experience mentoring junior technicians or trainees preferred

The hourly compensation for this role is $30.00 - $42.00 per hour plus a $250 annual tool reimbursement and is commensurate on experience and education, and could pay more or less than the posted range. This full-time position is eligible to participate in the company's short-term incentive program, paid time off plan, 401k, and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.
