Location: Miami, FL
Salary: $50K – $65K Base (Depending on Experience)

Software Experience: Experience with CargoWise or similar systems is advantageous.
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of recent operational experience at an international freight forwarder.
Eligibility: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Overview
The Air Import or Export Coordinator is responsible for handling daily operational tasks for international air shipments. This includes documentation, tracking, communication with agents and clients, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-driven, and experienced in freight forwarding procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day air import or export shipments from origin to final delivery.
  • Coordinate pre-alerts with agents and shippers; ensure all required documents are received and accurate.
  • Communicate with airlines, truckers, warehouses, and customs brokers to ensure smooth handling of cargo.
  • Arrange pickups, deliveries, and loading/unloading of cargo as necessary.
  • Track and trace shipments; provide timely updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Prepare billing and process accounts payable for each shipment file.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory and company procedures.
  • Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Proficient in shipment tracking, documentation, and basic accounting related to freight files.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certifications a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of operational experience in international air freight forwarding.
  • 2 years of customer service experience in a logistics or freight environment preferred.
