What you'll need to succeed as a Senior Manager, Technology Network at XPO
Minimum qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
· 5 years of leading applicable Network Engineering/Operations teams on a large Enterprise Class multi-site network
· Deep understanding of enterprise networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, etc.)
· Deep understanding and implementation experience with Aruba and Nile
· Strong working knowledge of SDN and SD-WAN
· Strong working knowledge of all aspects of wireless networking and security
· Leadership experience with all aspects of Cloud networking including GCP, OCI and Azure
· Expert knowledge of NGFW technologies including Palo Alto and Cisco
· Expert knowledge of F5 BIG-IP
· Expert in all the standard routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
· Expert in Subnetting in a complex environment
· Experience working with carriers and ISP's for complex service delivery
· A strong work ethic, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail
· Flexible schedule, this position will involve some weekend and evening work as needed
Preferred qualifications:
· 7+ years of leading applicable Network Engineering/Operations teams on a large Enterprise Class multi-site network

· Proficiency with productivity software and various web browsers
· Experience with monitoring software/tools (Solarwinds NPM, Infoblox, APIC)
· Ability to work complex carrier/network issues to resolution.
· Experience with Cisco's SD-WAN, DMVPN
· Experience with Extreme Wireless technologies

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Manage a team of engineers and architects to Design, configure, and implement business solutions from the fairly to the very complex.
- You will be responsible for monitoring the health of mission critical systems associated with both internal infrastructure and customer facing systems
- You will work closely within the department and various tech teams to ensure our monitoring solutions are applied in a deliberate, measured, and precise way
- Develop, maintain, and mature the teams to administer all route, switch, security and network configurations for the organization.
- Oversee, guide and drive configuration and troubleshoot various network architectures
- Envision and modernize high-density wireless network including all 802.11 standards and security protocols including migration to modern technologies like PLTE.
- Manage the team involving multiple network services including DNS, DHCP, NTP, RADIUS
- Manage documentation and develop monitoring plans for all network hardware and software using a variety of sources
- Monitor and respond quickly to any performance and/or security issues as a leader
- Establish network performance benchmarks, monitor systems, and conduct regular assessments to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate large contracts for network-related services and hardware including managed services providers.
- Provide customer friendly technical support and guidance to users as needed
- Update and enhance Business Continuity plans and Disaster Recovery services and Data Centers.
- Constantly strive for improvements in network performance, uptime and security
- Manage a team of engineers to support Network Operations team at XPO.
- Foster strong business relationship with site managers and continue to improve service levels
