Requirements:
- High School diploma / GED required.
- 1-2 years high volume phone calls in a fast-paced office/trucking environment.
- Previous freight experience is required within the trucking/transportation industry, import experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills
Main Job Functions:
- Assist the dispatcher in communicating pick up and deliveries statuses with the drivers.
- Assist the dispatcher in maintaining communication with the drivers, keeping track of their location.
- Know the status / ETA of all pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments with our drivers.
- Manage accessorial charges.
- Create manifests.
- Update the operating system with any notes on communication.
- Receive the driver's delivery manifest and confirm all paperwork are received and signed properly.
- Receive the driver pick up manifest and confirm all the proper back up documentation are received.
- At the end of the driver's shift, make sure all the proper paperwork has been turned in, keys, inspection reports, etc.
- Question / Assist any person in the facility, on the property or attempting to come onto the property that are not Moran employees.
Essential Functions:
- Answer phone calls & manage emails.
- Provide excellent & considerate customer service to customers and drivers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
