About Your Role


This role supports strategic and tactical decision-making across the supply chain by conducting cost analysis to identify opportunities for optimization, savings, and efficiency. The Supply Chain Analyst blends accounting knowledge, market research, and operational input to provide quantitative recommendations backed by qualitative insights. The ideal candidate leverages analytical tools, assumptions, and supply chain principles such as safety stock, lead times, and reorder points to inform financial and inventory decisions. Focus areas include internal costing (freight, warehousing, inventory holding) and external supplier cost comparisons to ensure competitive advantage and operational alignment. The candidate would be required to collaborate with various departments to provide the most appropriate details.


Duties and Responsibilities


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Assist with other duties as assigned.



Landed Cost Analysis



  • Provide timely and accurate landed cost calculations for critical sales and operations bids.

  • Ensure all supporting documentation and cost data is current and easily accessible to stakeholders.


Cost Modeling & Optimization



  • Build and maintain robust cost models that evaluate internal logistics, warehousing, and inventory holding expenses.

  • Analyze and identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and value creation across the supply chain.


Market Research & Supplier Benchmarking



  • Conduct ongoing external cost research to support supplier negotiations and pricing competitiveness.

  • Assist procurement with data to evaluate total cost of ownership and strategic sourcing decisions.


Item Master & Cost Maintenance



  • Create and update costing for all new parts and materials.

  • Maintain accurate item master data in the ERP system and ensure integration with supporting systems (e.g., pricing tools, sales platforms).


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Partner with sales, operations, finance, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of cost strategies with business goals.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities



  • The position does not have any regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising the work of other team members.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting, or related field.

  • Three years’ experience in supply chain analytics, operations analysis, freight logistics, or cost analytics.

  • APICS Supply Chain Professional CLTD certification preferred.

  • Highly proficient in extracting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets using Excel and business intelligence tools.

  • Proficient understanding of standard cost methodologies, manufactured parts related to routing and the impact of incremental costs to the final product.

  • Outstanding Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record MVR.


Working Conditions



  • The work environment is the typical office environment. The employee must complete their work satisfactorily in an environment where there are significant distractions, including staff, clients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephones ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others.
