- Safely operate a forklift and material-handling equipment to load and unload trailers and straight trucks, following OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.178) and company safety protocols.
- Assist dockworkers with loading/unloading freight efficiently and safely.
- Accurately complete required paperwork in a timely manner to ensure smooth freight flow.
- Inspect equipment before and after each shift, promptly reporting any defects or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Manage dock layout and report equipment repair needs to supervisors.
- Collaborate daily with coworkers and supervisors to meet operational goals.
- Complete company-provided training before independently operating any equipment.
- Comply with all company policies, including those related to workplace safety, harassment prevention, and anti-discrimination in accordance with applicable laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
