Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years experience, or 8 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Leadership classes or seminars.
Job Summary
Coordinate and lead assigned creative projects on a day-to-day basis, and serve as a liaison between internal customers and external vendors. Manage multiple projects including complex and time intensive jobs for a variety of channels, including both print and digital media. Schedule and conduct status meetings between the creative, marketing, and merchandising departments.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Creates new projects using established protocol. Contributes to the development of new concepts, themes, and look and feel of projects. Improves communication to the customer, with the goal of increased sales for the company. Develops and maintains creative style guides for use by internal and external vendors to ensure proper usage and branding of every project that touches the customer.
- Serves as mentor to other marketing and creative professionals. Shares knowledge to promote and build an opportunity for continued creative and technical growth. Clearly communicates thinking behind creative solutions, production issues, job assignments and other key issues.
- Participates in brainstorming and strategy sessions to better align outcomes. Produces marketing collateral and other creative assets for various media types. Establishes and maintains standards for company brand.
- Works with multiple large projects, manages numerous support files, responds to changes, and tracks critical deadlines. Ensures timely delivery of all projects.
- Represents the Creative Team by working closely with Merchandising, Marketing, Sales, and associates to maintain good communication, and exchange important information on products, services and procedures. Serves as liaison to internal and external customers. Recommends new methods to improve quality and efficiency. Escalates open issues to department manager/supervisor.
- Drives and delivers marketing projects that are critical elements to the organization's yearly growth plan.
- Provides input to the hiring and termination of staff to manager/supervisor.

- Operates with considerable latitude. Situations may have little or no precedent requiring original or new concepts or approaches without guidance from others. Reaches decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
- Develops or engages/directs others in developing innovative solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems; cross-departmental considerations are often present.
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 8+ years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 5+ years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.
