We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating shipping activities to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers. The Shipping Supervisor will lead a team of shipping staff, monitor shipping processes, and collaborate with various departments to enhance efficiency and improve customer satisfaction

 Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily shipping operations, including the preparation, packing, and shipping of products.
• Monitor shipping schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of orders; make necessary adjustments to meet delivery deadlines.
• Provide direction, instruction, and guidance to associates on the production floor.
• Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement (CI).
• Lead team to meet objectives in quality, productivity, and efficiency; provide feedback to management team; adhere to shipping schedule.
• Plan and track productivity and quality to ensure customer requirements have been accurately identified and that the organization meets or exceeding customer expectations.
• Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficient delivery of products and services within the operation.
• Support and coordinate with other departments concerned with production and distribution of products.
• Assist in establishing departmental policies, goals, objectives, procedures, and drive improvements.
• Work with the management team to determine staffing requirements, train new employees, foster continuous training and improvement within the current labor force.
• Hold daily meetings to communicate results of safety, quality, cost, and delivery
• Manage a dynamic team, mentoring and coaching to build a strong team spirit.
• Oversee inventory in production and work with materials team as required. 
• Research new and alternative methods of efficiency.
• Monitor standards for quality as well as health and safety.
• 5S, Lean
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations as well as local, state, and federal shipping regulations.

 Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•  High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in shipping or logistics, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, transportation regulations, and documentation requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff, vendors, and management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Forklift certification beneficial.
