Domestic Freight Agent – Trucking

In Office – Grand Prairie, TX

Pay and Benefits:

• Annual Base Salary: $49,000 - $54,000
  
• Plus, yearly bonuses and yearly salary base pay increases based on performance.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize load boards and industry tools to secure freight
  
• Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods and materials for our company
  
• Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure cost-effective transportation
  
• Ability to negotiate with carriers to achieve target rates set by the sales executives
  
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
  
• Maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty

Skills:

In this role, you will utilize your strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with carriers and customers. Your ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment will be essential in managing multiple shipments simultaneously. Proficiency in using transportation management software will enable you to track and monitor shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of logistics industry-related sales and operations experience
  
• Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
  
• Experience in managing TL/LTL shipments
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with carriers and customers
