A Penske parts clerk is responsible for inventory controls of parts department for heavy and light duty trucks, vendor communications, and executing shop support for maintenance supervisors and service managers.
-Manage the tire and parts inventory for the assigned locations
-Manage all the purchasing for parts and service generics etc.
-Head warranty process and core returns
-Process and manage receipts, payables, and invoices from suppliers
-Manage vendor performance for timely repairs and invoicing
-Evaluate vendor pricing/turn around time for preferred parts.
-Manage and retain organization for parts room.
-Answer telephone dealing directly with vendors
-Track campaign and recalls
-Accurately input work requests into Service Net
-Assist with building/facility maintenance
-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
-3 years of general office administration required
-1 years of supervisory experience preferred
-1 year of inventory management experience preferred
-High School diploma or equivalent required
-Bachelor's degree preferred
-Proficiency in using a computer including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
-AS400 experience preferred
-Ability to work independently, developing people skills, organizational skills, and good written and oral communication skills required
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to work overtime where necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
