Join Staff Management - SMX at our new client's facility in Indianapolis, IN! We're currently seeking an Inventory Clerk to assist the Warehouse Supervisor with daily activities in the stockroom, including incoming freight, stocking, pulling, and kitting. You will monitor inventory transactions, track inventory maintenance, and control the flow of material from the stockroom. The Inventory Clerk will ensure the flow of incoming and outgoing materials in a timely manner.

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 / hour

Duties:

Receive and count stock items, pack and unpack items, store items, mark stock items, inspect stock items, drive forklift, distribute materials, recommend disposal, maintain parts inventory, accept packages, kitting, staging, support cycle counts, replace damaged items, maintain inventory levels, perform clerical duties, strive for accuracy, track shortages and other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities: Ensure proper stocking, order storage, apply labels, report wear and defects, pick up and deliver items, kitting, staging, cycle counts, prevent shortages and maintain inventory accuracy.


The Inventory Clerk will need to have strong hard skills, which include good time management, problem-solving, decision-making, lateral thinking, collaborative skills, the ability to manage change, detail orientation, and proficiency in using ERP systems, FedEx and UPS Shipping systems. Additionally a the Inventory Clerk you will need to posses excellent soft skills which include communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, a positive attitude towards continual learning, independent thinking, hands-on work, conscientiousness, passion, team-oriented goals, and the ability to work with minimal supervision under a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.

Position Requirements:

This position requires an experienced Inventory Clerk with related work experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with ERP business systems. They must have minimal experience in inventory, materials, and administrative capacities, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to communicate fluently in English. A high school diploma or GED is required, with an Associate Degree being a plus. Forklift experience and certification is also a plus. The key performance indicators are stock inventory in the appropriate locations, kitting all work orders in a timely manner, continuous material flow from the stock room to production, ensuring excess materials are re-stocked from kits, and processing warranty customer orders. Mobility and work environment requirements also include a need to be able to sit or stand for extended periods, work in varying climate conditions, and lift up to 40 pounds.



Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 40 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated to range between $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including but not limited to experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills and experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive skills and experience. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
