Staff Management - SMX is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to take on the role of Packaging Shift Lead. Shift leads are one of the most important elements to our community here at SMX, this individual will set the tone for a positive and productive shift by welcoming the associates, showing them to their stations and being a pillar of support for the supervisor!

Pay Rate: $17.25 - $18.65 / hour
Duties:
- Lead a production team of 25-35 associates, sometimes more
- Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and work with Management team to implement
- Welcoming and training new starts to the production floor
- Focus on monitoring and improving safety initiatives, support safety programs
- Conducting hourly quality checks on the lines
- Collaborating with the Client supervisor to manage sudden changes to orders or any movements needed
- Stocking PPE locations for the entire plant on a daily basis
- Covering other floors in the facility, which involves climbing flights of stairs
- Conducting hourly check-ins with the SMX supervisor to follow up on any issues or changes that need to be made
- Using Microsoft Office and computer skills to print labels for finished products.
Position Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma
- 1 year of manufacturing/packaging experience preferably in a Lead type role.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both Management and Associates
- Process Improvement and Safety Initiatives
Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 50 pounds., required education: No Education Requirement.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $17.25 - $18.65 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
