Join the Staff Management - SMX team at our client who is a leader in servicing aircraft equipment, including hydraulic systems, aircraft lighting, aircraft windshield wipers, defrosting systems, doors, windows, windshields and aircraft shock mounts. Work at a facility known for being the best when it comes to passenger boarding bridge refurbishment and installation.   • Shift Times: Monday-Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm (4-day work schedule with OT as needed)

Shifts: 1st Shift.

Employment Types: Full Time.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 / hour

Duties:
  • Proper installation of mechanical components based on specifications, schematics and assembly drawings provided
  • Use of hand and power tools
  • Troubleshoot, inspect proper configuration, rework, repair and testing as required.
  • Provide support to the Production Lead
  • Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, schematics, and parts lists
  • Gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials required for the job
  • Position parts and tools by using templates or reading measurements
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit
  • Utilize hand held tools and other mechanical equipment
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed product
  • Resolve assembly issues or product defects by notifying supervisor
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Keep equipment operational by following manufacturers and departmental instructions, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, calling for repairs or repairing the equipment with supervisors approval
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment according to OSHA and as instructed by the manager to comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Conserve resources by using appropriate time and energy on equipment and supplies to accomplish job results
  • Document actions and issues by completing production or quality forms
  • Contribute, support, and be a team player by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Perform additional duties that may be given or assigned from time to time or as needed due to the demand of business
  • Perform cross training for other production competencies as requested by the company
  • Work longer hours as needed
  • Observe all company policies and procedures while maintaining professionalism and good performance

Position Requirements:
  • Reading and interpreting schematics (drawings or diagrams)

  • Basic understanding of bonding, torque, measurement tools and other assembly techniques

You must be able to work efficiently alone and with a team, must be punctual and productive. Experience working in a fast pace with minimum supervision is key. Recent graduates are acceptable but must be trainable and willing to learn. Applicant must be able to read basic and complexed diagrams & schematics.


Note: You will be working in a non climate regulate facility. Spaces with in the aircraft bridge could be confined. Area could be loud when production is occurring.



Requirements: Background Check, Drug Test, Stand for Shift Duration, Must be at least 18 years old.Able to Lift 40 pounds., required education: HS Diploma or GED.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $19.00 - $22.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.
