Maintenance Mechanic Job Description
Knowledge of industrial equipment including beverage filling, packaging and pumps.
Being able to perform operation of production equipment to trouble shoot, repair, maintain, all problems during production hours in a prompt manner.
Auditing and lubrication of equipment for preventive maintenance.
Looking up spare parts through manuals or working with vendors to complete requisition forms for ordering parts.
Repairing and maintaining safety equipment (guards, barriers, covers, and etc.)
Changing lines over to different packages sizes.
Knowledge of forklift, high lift, and scissor lift safety.
Knowledge and good practices of GMPs, PPEs, LOTO in a food safety environment.
Knowledge of Arc, Mig, Tig, and gas Oxy/Acetylene. Welding equipment.
Be able to lift 50lbs during the course of the workday as needed.
Carrying two-way walkie-talkies to communicate with other maintenance personnel and production team.
Able to work long hours including weekend and holidays as needed.
Must be flexible as hours or shifts may change to accommodate production schedule.
- 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2 years of experience troubleshooting 3 phase (480V) Circuits, Motor starters and controls and electronic circuit boards
- Lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly, walking and standing for long period of time.
- Knowledge of Arc, Mig, Tig, and gas Oxy/Acetylene, & welding equipment preferred.
- Knowledge and good practices of GMPs, PPEs, LOTO in a food safety environment preferred
- Knowledge of forklift, high lift, and scissor lift safety preferred.
